It’s Fun to Use the Lakers on NBA 2K19

Every year a sports video game is released the first thing I like to do is use my favorite team. I have to admit, it has not been fun to use the Los Angeles Lakers on NBA since 2K13. Even though the team did not do well, having Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, Steve Nash, and Dwight Howard in the starting lineup was fun. This was definitely a time where the video game team was better than the real life team. But on 2K19, the Lakers have their young core which includes Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma partnered with their newly acquired mega-star, LeBron James who is joined with veterans such as Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, and Michael Beasley. Believe it or not, you can win with these guys!

The past two years I picked the Lakers in MyGM mode with the mindset of rebuilding the team. I knew I would not compete for a championship unless I played every game. And going online? Forget about it. While the Warriors are still the best team (thanks Kevin Durant for ruining NBA 2K) I don’t mind picking the Lakers on any game mode against anyone and actually believing I have a chance. It feels good to actually be able to once again use my favorite team. Thank LeBron!

Could Cameron Be The One To Help Naomi?

Could we see the Funkadactyls reunite? This guy right here would be all for it. I said on last week’s episode of Break It Down W/ Brian H. that Naomi needs help. So of course I’m thinking her cousin by marriage and former Team Bad partner, Tamina could be that person or maybe even former foe Lana but I never thought a former superstar could return. Well maybe this can happen?

Recently on Twitter, Naomi made it clear that she’s has been reaching out to former partner Cameron in a plead for help. On Labor Day, Cameron responded. How cool would it be for Cameron to return and help Naomi overcome the IIconics? Anyone who knows me, knows that Cameron is one of my all-time favorites. She has the crossover appeal and was getting better in the ring. The chemistry is already there so why not. Maybe it’s me having wishful thinking or maybe it could become a reality. Only time will tell.

Tommy It Was Tough But It Had To Be Done

Tommy is perhaps the most loyal person on Power. While he can be a loose cannon and a cold-blooded killer, there’s no denying the fact that if he loves, he will die for you. Look at his relationship with Ghost, when they were on opposite teams, Tommy couldn’t drive himself to kill him. And when Holly set up the hit, Tommy killed her. While he loved Holly, he was not going to allow her to kill his brother. While he may have killed her by accident, his last victim was no accident. 

Tony Teresi came into Tommy’s life while Ghost was in jail. Tommy’s mom kept him away from Tommy because she knew he was no good. While the two have a very complicated relationship, there’s no denying the fact that they love each other. She kept telling Tommy that his dad was no good. However, no matter how old you are, when you finally believe you have a void filled, you will do whatever it is to keep it filled. 

As ruthless as Tommy is when it comes to strangers, he has the biggest heart for those he love. Take Keisha for instance. He protected her from danger and then started to fall for her. Even though he was happy to be sleeping with her, slowly but surely he started gaining feelings. He introduced her to his dad and stepmother and even had to defend her against them. So when the evidence of Teresi snitching was presented to him, you could see he was hurt and did not want to believe it. Ghost knew Tommy would not want to believe it, so he went to his connect. After Tommy eliminated his dad, he went to his mom and cried in her arms. Painful but it had to be done. But what happens next? Tommy just killed one of the feds informants. And even worse, he left the body by the grave. So what happens next?
