Power Episode 508: 50 Cent Does The Unthinkable

Just when you think you have answered all of the questions, Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent changes all of the questions. Shocked is one of many words to describe the Power viewing audience after episode 508. Kanan is dead. Can you believe it? 

After Tasha pleaded with Tariq go choose her or Kanan and Tariq stormed off it seemed like he chose Kanan. This was not a surprise. Tariq felt that Kanan was the only person who  kept it real with him. He told him about his parents past, taught him how to sell drugs, and treated him like a son. But remember his real son Shawn? Kanan killed Shawn. 

When Tariq found out that it was true that Kanan killed Shawn, he looked at him differently. After all, Shawn was his big brother. When you are the oldest sibling you carry a lot of weight on your shoulders. And when you do not have a brother at all, it is often hard to find someone who you can trust, who you can relate to. Shawn was that guy for Tariq. And when he learned that it was Kanan that killed him, Tariq found an opening and he took it. Set up Kanan to go back to jail and that would clear his name and get justice for Shawn. 

Jalen Ramsey Disses Joe Flacco

In a recent GQ article, Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey talks about every quarterback including Joe Flacco. He says the Super Bowl 47 MVP sucks. Reminds the reporter that he played him twice. It’s no secret that I was a huge Joe Flacco fan, but those days are over and I am personally ready for the Lamar Jackson era to begin. But he is the quarterback so Ravens fans have to deal with him this year. Thinking about this quote I had to look at Flacco’s stats vs Ramsey’s Jaguars the past two years and here is what I got:

2016: 29/40,  214 Passing Yards, 0 TDS and 2 INT. WIN

2017: 8/18, 28 Passing Yards, 0 TDS and 2 INT LOSS

Is he wrong? In 2017, Ramsey picked off Flacco. That was the game in London where the Jags destroyed the Ravens, 44-7. Personally, that was the day I threw away my Joe Flacco fan card. For the record, I was at the Ravens official draft part in 2016 and you could hear the air leave the room when the Jaguars selected Ramsey ahead of the Ravens. 

Just When Ghost Had His Swag Back...

After what seemed like forever, Ghost finally hooks back up with Angela. Let’s be real, that’s his true love. Tasha is the mother of his children and for now, still his wife, but Angela is the one who has his heart. And for the first time, Tasha had a love interest that Ghost knew about. But just when it seemed like they would be together in peace, Silver, Tasha’s new boo, proved that he was not about that life. Tasha asked him to help her cover up the murder of Ray-Ray. Ghost went to him and threatened him as well. Of course Silver agreed. But then he got out of town quick!

Ghost, Angela, and Tasha have been working together to keep Tariq out of jail for the murder but with three episodes left there is only so much they can do. Angela is in hot water because the feds know that she has been hiding some things. The more she messed with Ghost, the dirtier she gets. Just when it looked like that it was possible for Ghost and Angela to be happy together now they have a whole new stress to deal with...

#WWEbony (Aug 6-8, 2018) RAW Bobby Lashley continues to interrupt Elias during his musical performances. Elias had a special camera crew with him who would end up filming Lashley humiliating Elias. Titus O'Neil took on Razar of AoP. Razar picked up the win and evens the score between the two teams after Apollo defeated Akam last week. The Boss 'n' Hug Connection faced the Riott Squad for the second week in a row but would come up short after a returning Ruby Riott interfered in the match, distracted Sasha Banks who was then rolled up by Sarah Logan for the win. In the main event, Ronda Rousey took on Alicia Fox. Rousey defeated Fox in quick fashion. SMACKDOWN RTruth challenged Shinuske Nakamura to a match. Truth looked great in the ring and put up a good fight, but would lose to the United States Champion. The New Day faced The Bar for the chance to face The Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown Tag Team titles at SummerSlam in two weeks. After an expected high intense match, The New Day picked up the win and are heading to SummerSlam! 205 LIVE Lio Rush was called into 205 GM, Drake Maverick's office. Maverick told Rush that he was put in a rematch against Akira Tozawa based on his unprofessional conduct outside the ring. The match will take place on Tuesday. Cedric Alexander had some choice words for his SummerSlam opponent, Drew Gulak who attempted to have Jack Gallagher attack Gulak last week. Alexander reminded Gulak that he has never beaten him and that he will show Gulak what he can do when he faces Jack Gallagher on Tuesday. NXT Ricochet was set for action, but as his music hit he didn't appear. As the lights came on Adam Cole and the rest of Undisputed Era were standing over a decimated Ricochet. Velveteen Dream invited EC3 to his pool side "quarters". In an attempt to get one over on EC3, Velveteen's trick was spotted and EC3 would toss Dream into the pool. Keith Lee made his imminent debut. Bobby Lashley attacked Elias on Monday Night Raw after Elias held a concert and said a few things about Lashley. If that wasn't bad enough, Lashley had Elias' camera crew get footage and add that to his documentary.

Shane Strickland defeated Matt Riddle to become the new Evolve World Champion. Strickland has been one of the best wrestlers on the planet this summer. If you have been keeping up with him, you know that he has won gold at CZW, Defy Wrestling, MLW and now Evolve.
